Rodney S. Ruoff, UNIST Distinguished Professor and Director of the Institute for Basic Science Center for Multidimensional Carbon Materials (IBS CMCM located at the UNIST campus), received a 2021 Highly Cited Research Award from Clarivate Analytics. The Award citation reads: "In Recognition of exceptional research performance demonstrated by production of multiple highly cited papers that rank in the top 1% for field and year in Chemistry and Materials Science." Ruoff was also awarded as a Hall of Fame Highly Cited Researcher in 2021 for being ranked as one of the most highly cited scientists in the world (in Chemistry, Physics, and Materials Science) over a long period of time.
